Native Californian, raised in the Sacramento area. Graduated from Mira Loma HS. Went to the College of Insurance in New York City for 3 semesters. Worked two summer internships for CIGNA Insurance Company’s Sacramento branch office. Became a licensed P&C agent in 1985 and a licensed Life agent in 1986. Have worked for Cummins Insurance since 1985, serving many different roles such as janitor, file clerk, personal lines sales and commercial lines sales. Received my Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1997. Served on IBA Sacramento Board from 2005 to 2011.
While on the IBA Board I chaired several different committees, most notably chairing IBA Sacramento BIG I Day in 2008 and 2010. I am married to Kim Cummins and have 3 great kids, Alexandria, Steven and Erin. I have enjoyed attending many of my kids events over the years and continue watching them in their many endeavors. I enjoy playing softball, running for exercise, and grilling in the summer. I am an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco Giants. My idol is Michael Scott of “The Office” and have patterned my management skills in his image.
